We believe in giving back to our community by supporting groups and initiatives that enrich the lives of our neighbors. This commitment is part of our DNA, with most relationships ongoing and multi-year.

Sharing Smiles Application

Since 2011, Dr. Rob Sheffield has provided life-changing orthodontic care to deserving children in our community through the Sharing Smiles initiative. This scholarship program offers free orthodontic treatment to underserved youth; because we believe financial limitations shouldn’t hinder access to a confident and healthy smile. A dedicated Board of Advisors meticulously reviews applications, selecting up to six recipients every six months.

Through this program, our practice has provided free orthodontic care to more than 120 children! Each approved candidate was awarded $7679.00 in treatment cost, including some that are receiving pro-bono oral surgery care. This success is also made possible by our dental partners in the community, who generously provide their services.

We believe that a good education is a cornerstone of a thriving community, which is why we proudly sponsor initiatives to empower our local schools.

Brentwood Turkey Trot

We’re a top sponsor of this annual Thanksgiving morning tradition, a 5k run that benefits student athletics in both the Liberty Union and Brentwood Union School Districts. Over 2,000 community members unite to walk, run, and support our youth every year. Additionally, we donate $25 from each patient that starts treatment in Brentwood during the month of November to this cause.

Antioch Rotary 5k Bunny Hop: Supporting Antioch’s youth and community projects through this annual event, including the most recent 10th annual Bunny Hop.

Antioch Police Activities League: Fostering positive police and youth interaction.

Mothers of Brentwood, Bethel Island Children’s Support, Boy & Girl Scout Troops: Empowering local families and fostering leadership skills in young people.

Deer Valley Education Foundation: Funding programs to improve schools, boost student achievement, and enrich learning.

We recognize this generosity by matching donations to various causes through the year. This includes donating non-perishable food items for Shepherd’s Gate, a local women’s and children’s shelter, collecting gently used coats for those in need, and an annual toy drive with an affiliate of White Pony Express.
